American Association of School Administrators
AASA is the professional organization for over 14,000 educational leaders across America and in many other countries. AASA’s mission is to support and develop effective school system leaders who are dedicated to the highest quality public education for all children.

American Symphony Orchestra League
The American Symphony Orchestra League provides leadership and service to American orchestras while communicating to the public the value and importance of orchestras and the music they perform.

Arts Education Partnership
The Arts Education Partnership (AEP) is a national coalition of arts, education, business, philanthropic and government organizations that demonstrate and promote the essential role of the arts in the learning and development of every child and in the improvement of America's schools.

ArtsEdge (John F. Kennedy Center)
ArtsEdge supports the placement of the arts at the center of the curriculum and advocates creative use of technology to enhance the K-12 educational experience. ArtsEdge empowers educators to teach in, through, and about the arts by providing the tools to develop interdisciplinary curricula that fully integrate the arts with other academic subjects.

Association for Supervision &Curriculum Development
The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development is an international, nonprofit, nonpartisan association of professional educators whose jobs cross all grade levels and subject areas.

Council of Chief State School Officers
The CCSSO is a nationwide nonprofit organization composed of public officials who lead departments responsible for elementary & secondary education in the states, the US extra-state jurisdictions, the District of Columbia, and the Department of Defense Educational Activity. In representing the chief education officers, CCSSO works on behalf of state agencies that serve pre K -12 students throughout the nation.

Council for Exceptional Children
CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically under-served individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice. The Council seeks member consensus on major educational issues and expresses their views to civic and professional organizations, federal agencies, Congress, and the public.

McREL: Compendium of State Standards
Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning (McREL) draws upon the best of more than 30 years of education research to create practical, user-friendly products that help educators create classrooms that provide all students with opportunities for success. McREL was incorporated in 1966 as Mid-continent Regional Educational Laboratory, a nonprofit organization created to help educators in the nation’s heartland bridge the gap between research and practice.

MENC: The National Association for Music Education
Founded in 1907, MENC's membership has grown to nearly 90,000 including active music teachers, university faculty and researchers, college students preparing to be teachers, high school honor society members and MusicFriends. Formerly Music Educators National Conference, the association's name was changed to MENC: The National Association for Music Education to better reflect its mission -- to advance music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all.

Music for All Foundation
The Music for All Foundation is a national non-profit organization committed to expanding the role of music and the arts in education, to heightening the public’s appreciation of the value of music and arts education, and to creating a positive environment for the arts through societal change.

National Art Education Association
NAEA serves more than 17,000 art educators; early childhood, elementary, intermediate, secondary, college and university, administration, museum education, lifelong learning, as well as publishers, manufacturers and suppliers of art materials, parents, students, retired teachers, arts councils, and schools.

National Association of Elementary School Principals
The mission of NAESP is to lead in the advocacy and support for elementary and middle level principals and other education leaders in their commitment to all children. NAESP has more than 28,500 members throughout the world.

National Association of State Boards of Education
NASBE works to strengthen state leadership in educational policymaking, promote excellence in the education of all students, advocate equality of access to educational opportunity, and assure continued citizen support for public education.

National Governors Association (Best Practices Center - education policy statements and research, reports)
The NGA Center for Best Practices is the nation's only dedicated consulting firm for governors and their key policy staff. The Center's mission is to develop and implement innovative solutions to public policy challenges.

National School Boards Association
NSBA seeks excellence and equity in public education through school board leadership.

National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts
NFAA's mission is to identify emerging artists and assist them at critical junctures in their educational and professional developments, and to raise appreciation for, and support of, the arts in American society. NFAA is supported by individuals, corporations, foundations and philanthropic institutions. NFAA seeks out artistically accomplished young people throughout the United States and gives them national recognition through cash awards and scholarships.

National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts
The Guild is the national service organization for a diverse constituency of non-profit, non-degree granting institutions located in urban, inner-city, suburban and rural communities throughout the United States. The mission of the NGCSA is to foster and promote broad access to high quality arts education designed to meet community needs. To that end it provides service, advocacy and leadership for community arts education organizations. The NGCSA site offers information about how to start a community school.

National PTA
The National Congress of Parents & Teachers (PTA) seeks to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

New Horizons for Learning
New Horizons for Learning has served as a leading-edge resource for educational change. NHL has identified, communicated, and helped to implement successful educational strategies through its online journal, books, by creating networks and hosting conferences. NHL gives visibility to effective teaching and learning practices, explores and helps implement ideas that have not yet reached the mainstream, and works in coordination with other reputable networks and learning communities.

Oregon Art Education Association
The Oregon Art Education Association is affiliated with the National Art Education Association and is dedicated to teaching art to all students as part of a complete educational experience.

Oregon Department of Education
The Oregon Department of Education acts as a liaison and monitors implementation for a variety of state and federal programs. Information about Oregon’s schools, as well as professional development opportunities for teachers, education policies, budget information, statistics and other information is available online.

Oregon Music Educators Association
Oregon Music Educators Association promotes excellence in music education and serves the professional needs of music educators.
